DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe forest
Your guide will pick up early in the morning from Kigali hotel or international airport. Begin your journey to Nyungwe forest national park. while on the journey, you will have a stop over at Ethnographic Museum in Huye to explore Rwanda’s cultural heritage.
On arrival, you will check into the lodge and enjoy the cool mountain air and prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee trek.
Day 2: chimpanzee trekking and transfer to volcanoes national park
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Once the primates are located, you will spend an hour observing their social behaviours up close thus a truly African safari experience.
After the chimpanzee trekking experience, you will head to the lodge for a relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your journey to the volcanoes national park. on arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and night stay.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After briefing, you will head into the forest in company of the armed rangers and professional guides. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend an hour observing their interactions, feeding and play a pinnacle of any African vacation safari.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge to freshen up before beginning the scenic drive back to Kigali. On arrival to Kigali, you will be dropped at the international airport for your flight back home.
