DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe national park
Early in the morning, you will be picked up by your safari guide and embark on your journey to nyungwe national park. you will have a stopover at the king’s palace in Nyanza for a cultural insight into Rwanda’s monarchy. After the visit, you will proceed up to the national par. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarter for a briefing. After the briefing, you will hike through the dense forest to encounter with the wild chimpanzees. Once they are located, you will spend an hour observing them, watch them forage, vocalise and play. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation and lunch.
After lunch, you will have an afternoon nyungwe canopy walk which is a suspended bridge 60 meters above the ground thus offering incredible views and birdwatching. after the canopy walk, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay
Day 3: Transfer to volcanoes and a visit to iby’iwacu cultural village
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and depart for volcanoes national park. while on the journey, you will enjoy views of lake Kivu and Rwandan highlands. On arrival you will check in the lodge.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit the iby’iwacu cultural village for a traditional dance, story telling and insight into Rwanda’s heritage. After the visit, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation and prepare for the next day activities.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Departure
Early in the morning, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the bamboo forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them observing their ways of living, nurturing their young ones, feeding patterns and how they relate with one another. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation and late lunch.
After, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel or international airport for your flight back home.
