DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes national park
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our safari driver guide. After, you will embark on the journey to Kigali for a city tour where you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial, kimironko market, kandt museum and many more. After the city tour, you will proceed with the journey to volcanoes national park. on arrival, you will check into the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer to akagera national park
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the majestic mountain gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend with them an hour as you learn more about them such as their feeding patterns, how they breast feed, nurture their young ones and as well relate with one another. After the gorilla trekking experience, you will return to the lodge and have lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to akagera national park. on arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning game drives and boat cruise safari
After earl breakfast, you will enter into the forest for a morning game drive across the savannah plains of Akagera national park. while on the game drive, you will spot animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, antelopes and zebras as well as a variety of birdlife. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head out to lake ihema for an afternoon boat cruise where you will spot animals such as hippos, crocodiles and water birds. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and Departure
Enjoy a final morning game drive where you will spot animals that you mat have missed in the previous game drive. After the game drive, you will return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will check out of the hotel and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel or Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
